“BEST THING HAPPENED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC” My craze for Nissan Patrol Y60 started from the age of 12 when I was in 7th or 8th std.I used to put my head out from dad’s car whenever we pass by a Y60. I always used to tell my parents to buy me a Y60 once I get my driving license. But they were always worried that I might drive it carelessly since the car was powerful. There was not even a single day where I did not go through auto classified sites and car selling pages to check if someone is selling the car.I literally knew most of the cars which were listed in the sites and sold out.I even used to simply contact them to see the photos and details. So yes..I was waiting for the day to get my driving license and the day arrived..My dad bought me a Toyota Camry 2000 Model and asked me to improve my driving skills. Then I thought maybe when I join for my university I might get one and take it to the university.Months passed by and nothing happened. They were still worried about me driving a patrol.then I waited for 2nd year and the final year. Finally I got graduated in 2017. I got my first job in October 2017 and thought this might be the time where I am going to get my hands on Y60.So I was saving up money to buy a 4-door Nissan Patrol since the 2-Door variant was expensive comparing to the other one. So yes..I had made some savings and planned to buy the car even though my parents were still not happy with taking a Y60.Since I have a younger brother they were worried about him too. During the month of March 2020 I lost my job during the Covid 19 situation and I was clueless as anyone else in the world. So again I gave up my plan of buying the Y60 and kept the money with me… One day during the lockdown time in June my dad came and asked me about the plan of buying the Y60 Patrol.I told him that I gave up the plan as we have to save up the money since I lost my job. Then he told me “you don’t have to worry about the money.Good and bad times comes and goes away.Nothing stays forever”.Then he forwarded me a dubizzle ad link and asked me to check it out.It was a Nissan Patrol Y60 1997 2-Door variant. It was in Abudhabi. The owner was a Canadian guy and he used the car since 1997.He was selling the car because he was moving back to Canada due to personal reasons. He seemed like good guy and he told everything about the car. briefly.since it was the pandemic time there were border crossing restrictions.so going to Abudhabi and checking the car by myself was out of box question. So l got back to my dad and told him about the car’s details. When I told him about the border crossing issues, what my dad said was “if you believe in what the owner explained through phone go ahead and buy it anyways”.He asked me to send a towing recovery vehicle to Abudhabi and send the money through them.so I contacted the company and sent the cash with the driver. He went to Abudhabi and transferred the car to my name and brought the car to Dubai. When we were waiting in Dubai to receive the car,I could see more excitement in my parents face than mine even though it was my dream to buy the car. Here I am in 2021 as the proud owner of my dream car Nissan Patrol 1997. My story with the patrol shows that everything has its own time and it will eventually come to you even if the world is falling off in-front of you…
